Welcome to the blog for the HEART OF ENGLAND KITE FLIERS. We are NOT a club. There are plenty of good kite clubs to join. Most of us belong to MKF, the Midlands Kite Fliers.
We ARE a group of kite enthusiasts who meet in the West Midlands, Normally in Sutton Park. Anyone is free to come along and have fun.

To be announced. They will probably be informal on the second Sunday of each month. Note there are car park charges after 11.00a.m on Sundays in the summer months, from Easter.
When do we meet?
We meet on the second Sunday of the month for the Autumn, Winter and Spring months, starting around 9.30 a.m.

This flying area is not tree lined on the prevailing windward side, but is bordered on the south western side by a lake used for yachting. So if you fly single, twin or quad line kites there is generally a nice clean wind to fly in, it often like flying on the beach because of the water behind you. Lets face it, it's the nearest you'll get to the real thing in the Heart of England.
